What do you enjoy most about living in the Savannah area? The wonderful weather, slow pace living and close proximity to the ocean.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? Spending quality time with my fiancé and family, playing all sports—especially skiing in the winter, working with the ALS Association in finding a cure for the disease.

How long have you worked in Real Estate? 7 years

What would you consider your specialty? Management and resale of Foreclosure and Short Sale properties

Do you have any accreditations or certifications? Accredited REO Agent, Short Sale Certified

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do? Challenging: separating work from my personal life. I often find myself not taking enough personal time and that is often hard for me to do. Gratifying: helping that individual or couple find their home of their dreams and/or finding that buyer for a sellers home.

What is the most unique property you’ve ever listed or sold? A property that I currently have listed, which is a single family bank foreclosure home located on the water. After the seller had accepted an offer on the home, we found the property had an IRS tax lien on it, and then a survey discovered our driveway, attached carport, rear work shed and 2nd stationary dock were all encroaching on a neighboring lot. We found this lot was owned by the former owner but had just recently sold at a tax sale. The seller is now in the process of completely reconstructing the driveway, carport and shed so that our title is clear. For me, properties with challenges are enjoyable because it often makes you think outside of the box and work a little harder to get a deal closed.

Describe your most memorable real estate transaction… Selling a home to a first time Veteran and his family. After closing, the soldier was enlisted again, but knowing I helped secure a safe and comfortable home for his family was extremely gratifying for me.

What is the one tip you have for someone looking to buy a home today? If you are financially able to buy, the time is now. Home values are still down and most importantly the interest rates are the lowest they have ever been.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices? I foresee sales to remain strong due to lack of overall inventory in our market place but for the prices they will remain stable with a small increase in the next year to year and half.
