Realtor Spotlight: Meet Justin M. Coleman of Konter Realty Co.
Where did you grow up?
Beautiful Savannah, GA until college where I studied International Business and Residential Marketing at Loyola University New Orleans in uptown New Orleans, LA.
Spouse - Single
Pets - Cooper/Lab Mix
What do you enjoy most about living in the Savannah area? My favorite thing about Savannah is walking around the historic district with friends on a lazy Sunday afternoon. You can’t beat it!
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? I enjoy traveling and being with friends and family.
How long have you worked in Real Estate? I started selling for a local builder 2009, but was raised in Real Estate having worked with my mother Sherry Coleman Murat since I was 6 years old. I made the move into general brokerage real estate in January of this year. Real Estate definitely runs in my blood stream!! I recently joined Konter Realty Co. and it has already been a successful move. Konter has a comprehensive knowledge of both the real estate industry and the Savannah area.
What would you consider your specialty? I am a Buyer/Relocation specialist. I truly have an understanding of the market and the area which helps me in daily tasks with clients.
What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do? The most gratifying aspect of being a REALTOR is definitely the look on a new homeowners face when they are handed the keys at the closing table. My mother and father raised me to believe in the American Dream of home ownership. I love the fact I can help people not just find a house, but a home!
What is the most unique property you’ve ever listed or sold? While in New Construction, I had two best friends relocating to the area come in my model home and wanted to live next door to one another. After a bit of research and crafty maneuvering, we were able to build them their dream homes beside each other!
Describe your most memorable real estate transaction… As I said earlier, I love first time homebuyers. I had a couple who never thought they would own a home and truly had to jump through hoops to get financed. The closing was one of the most memorable I will ever have. It was only a small transaction but the feeling I had when leaving the attorneys office with the new homeowners was indescribable.
What is the one tip you have for someone looking to buy a home today? Definitely consult with a Buyer’s Agent before making any decisions. The knowledge and expertise of a REALTOR is very important!
What is the one tip you have for someone looking to sell a home today? Don’t make unnecessary additions and upgrades to your home when selling. In today’s market it is about the bottom line. Make sure you will see a return on investment before putting to much into your home.
What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices? Just in the last 6 months, Real Estate professionals throughout the area have felt an upswing in the market. Prices are up for the first time in years and there is a new refreshing air in our day to day business transactions! I have hope in the market and trust that we will rebound!
Why should someone use you as a real estate agent? Not only do I have a firm grasp on the area and market, I am very devoted to my clients. I trust in my abilities as a salesperson to find you the right home for the right price regardless of what I have to do to produce.
