What do you enjoy most about living in the Savannah area? All of the beautiful scenery; rivers, ocean, historic downtown Savannah

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do? Connecting families with new homes! It’s not just a home to me, it is where they will raise their families and create their memories. At Ernest Homes and Liz and Associates we have many communities with almost any price point imaginable and a home to meet most anyone’s needs and budget!
What is the most unique property you’ve ever listed or sold? A two million dollar + property at Turner’s Creek
Describe your most memorable real estate transaction… I have had many memorable experiences through the years in this business; however, for me the “stand out” moments are when we connect a first time homebuyer with their new home. Especially so when a buyer didn’t think they’d be able to own a home or when we work through difficulties with them and their lender to get them approved. My philosophy has always been that we have the best job out there – selling the American Dream, “home ownership”. Many years ago while working at Richmond Place I had a couple from Scotland who would never have been able to own a home of that magnitude in their native country. They were so proud to be able to send plans and photos back home to their family during the build process. And, most recently we had a couple come by one of our sales offices looking for rentals, never thinking they’d be able to buy. We got them in touch with our preferred lender and they are now under contract for their own brand new home – sometimes they just want to pinch themselves to make sure it’s really happening!
What is the one tip you have for someone looking to buy a home today? Choose your builder wisely! Experience and longevity in this business mean so much in today’s economy.
What is the one tip you have for someone looking to sell a home today? Seek the advice of a Realtor regarding price and condition of your home! Not every improvement you do to your existing home will net you the dollars in sales price.
What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices? We have seen a rise in price and activity in the market with regard to new home sales, which generally means that the entire market – resales & new home sales – is on the rise!

Affiliated with Ernest Signature Custom Homes for 12 years selling only new homes!
