What do you enjoy most about living in the Savannah area? My family and I moved to Savannah in to be closer to my husband’s family. I have come to love and respect the rich cultural history and the diverse population. Every day brings me so many wonderful people to meet and have the opportunity to be a part of their lives.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? In my spare time I spend a lot of time on the road to Atlanta watching my son, who is a senior at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, and is a player on their nationally ranked soccer team. Go Hornets! While in Atlanta I also get the opportunity to visit my youngest daughter, Kelli. I look forward in the fall to the arrival of my oldest daughter, Kimi’s, first child and have been spending time ordering various pink tutus in anticipation! My husband and I are so looking forward to becoming grandparents!
I am a Director on SABOR Board of Directors as well as chair of the Financial Audit Committee at SABOR as well as volunteering on several other committees to assist where needed.
How long have you worked in Real Estate? I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a major in accounting. I pursued a career in accounting until the purchase of our 2nd home in Savannah and arrival of our 3rd child. I became interested in real estate financing and became a licensed Realtor in 1994. I have since worked with local area builders to help buyers achieve their dream, owning their own home.
What would you consider your specialty? Credit restoration, correction and rescoring are all important in the current lending industry. I started The Credit Lady to provide education, credit analysis, and action plans to future home owners. During the time I worked with the builder it became apparent that credit issues could make or break a deal. I began meeting with area lenders and underwriters to see what they were looking for in loans. The need to help educate future home owners and correcting credit for a home purchase increased. I have met with lenders, underwriters, builders, investors and buyers to assist in credit restoration and correction.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do? It is very gratifying to watch a first-time homebuyer achieve their goal of home ownership. I continue to speak at 1st Time Buyer Seminars, churches, luncheons, and professional gatherings to spread the word that “Everyone can buy a home, the question is when…”
What is the most unique property you’ve ever listed or sold? It was not so much as the property that was unique, but what was on the property. I listed a home with out of state owners. So far, so good. I went to show the property to a potential buyer and the electricity was off. As I went to get my flashlight from my car the potential buyer let out a blood curdling scream and I rushed back to the house. The owners had failed to tell me that their albino python did not make it into the moving van. That pile of what I thought to be white, little Strawberry Shortcake bike tires was actually their curled up pet waiting for them to come get him. I was speechless, horrified and scared all at the same time. The buyer ran for her car and I ran to mine. Come to think of it, I never heard from her again.
Describe your most memorable real estate transaction… I sold a home on the bluff in Richmond Hill. As I handed the keys to the buyer he yelled “GO!” And then a bulldozer plowed through the middle of the house. Surprise!
What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices? A gradual increase in keeping with economic times.

I will involve myself in your home search as much or as little as you like, and will communicate information to you on a schedule and in a fashion that suits you best.
